Tory Lanham ran a program record 200M time of 20.82 seconds at the Arkansas Qualifier
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- For the third week in a row, Kansas City's Tory Lanham is the men's track representative of the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Lanham has performed at an elite level in the 200-meter dash and this past weekend was no different for the defending Summit indoor 200-meter champion. At the Arkansas Qualifier, Lanham produced a time of 20.82 seconds, giving him second place in the event. Lanham's 20.82 time is the new Kansas City school record and his own personal indoor record for the event.
In prior stints, Lanham saw a 20.93 time at the Missouri Invitational followed up by a time of 20.85 seconds at the Tyson Invitational the next weekend, both of which netted him the same weekly conference honor. Lanham's latest PR nets him a share for the 36th best time in the country and remains at the top of the Summit 200M leaderboard. Lanham not only wins his third straight Summit weekly honor but this brings his total up to four for the indoor season and seven for his career, the most among active men's track athletes in the conference.
Lanham will look to win his second straight gold medal in the 200M at the 2026 Summit Indoor Championships in Grand Forks, N.D. this weekend and his fourth straight 200M gold combining both indoor and outdoor seasons since 2024. Last indoor season, Lanham took first in the conference thanks to a time of 21.07 seconds.Â
