Tory Lanham receives second weekly conference accolade of indoor season and the fifth of his career
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Summit League announced Kansas City's Tory Lanham is this week's Summit League Men's Track Peak Performer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. For Lanham, this is his second weekly conference award of the 2025-26 indoor season and the fifth of his career. Earlier this season, Lanham took the same honor on December 16 following a 400-meter dash time of 47.62 seconds that broke the school record.Â
Lanham had his best 200-meter dash time of the indoor season, taking the tape in 20.93 seconds which not only earned him first place but also tied the facility and meet record at the Missouri Invitational this past Friday. Lanham's 20.93 second time equaled both his personal best and the school record that he set at the same meet during the 2024-25 indoor season. The junior sprinter retains the top spot in the Summit standings for the men's 200m while ranking 35th in the country for the event.Â
Lanham also finished second in the 60-meter dash at Missouri, coming out of the meet with a time of 6.83 seconds. The Kansas City, Mo. native is tied for sixth in the Summit League for the 60-meter dash. Last season, Lanham took the silver in the Summit Indoor Championships, running 6.82 seconds in the 60m final after going 6.80 to set a personal record in the premamillary round.Â
Kansas City continues the 2025-26 indoor campaign this weekend by competing in the Ichabod Invite, Gorilla Classic and Tyson Invitational.Â
