Haley, Bent place inside top 20 with stellar scores

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Golf continued their fall season, coming in ninth place at the Git-R-Done Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. on Tuesday afternoon. The Roos shot 866, +14 as a team to place over Creighton, Omaha and Missouri State among the 12 team field. The Roos rebounded after a +18 showing in round one with back-to-back below par outings as a team, shooting -3 and -1 in rounds two and three respectively to close out the invitational strong. Kansas City was one of four teams to total an under-par team performance in multiple rounds as Nebraska, Kansas State and Iowa State did the same at the Firethorn Golf Club.

Mason Haley was the Roos top golfer once again, totaling 213 strokes in three rounds across the par 71 course. Haley finished with a share of 15th place overall out of a 60-plus golfer field across the dozen participating schools in the tournament. After going +3 in round one, Haley notched scores of -2 and -1 in subsequent rounds. Harry Bent also came in a tie for 18th place overall going +1, -2, E to finish at 214 strokes and +1 overall for the tournament.
