
Softball Travels to Oklahoma for Six-Game Weekend

Kansas City Notes
- The Roos were picked to finish fifth in the Summit League this season, ahead of North Dakota State and North Dakota who tied for sixth place with 13 points each. Kansas City earned 15 points, putting them just three points out from St. Thomas who was picked to finish fourth (18 points).
- Kendyl Anderson and Derika Castillo lead Kansas City at the plate, batting above .300. Anderson is batting .316 with six hits and two RBIs. Castillo has a .304 average and has hit two home runs this season. Her seven hits have allowed five KC runs.Â
- Lauren Parker earned a hit against New Mexico State on Feb. 9 to start her on a five-game hitting streak. Her active hitting streak is Kansas City's longest of the season and is the second-longest on-base streak. Â
- Maddy Duvall and Riley Bebb have each made seven appearances in the circle. Duvall and Bebb have thrown 18 innings each, earning four strikeouts apiece.Â
Drake Notes
- The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 2-7 record picking up wins over Loyola Chicago and Southern Utah.Â
- Drake has already faced two of Kansas City's Summit League opponents falling 1-7 to Omaha in their season opener and then dropping two games to North Dakota, 7-9 and 1-7.Â
Tulsa Notes
- The Golden Hurricane enter the game coming off a win over Summit League members, South Dakota State. Tulsa defeated the Jackrabbits 9-3 thanks to a three RBI home run from Maci Cole in the bottom of the second inning to put Tulsa up 4-1.Â
- The Roos and the Golden Hurricanes met last season on March 3, 2024, with Tulsa extending their all-time win streak to 17 games in a 8-4 decision.Â
East Texas A&M Notes
- The Lions enter the weekend on a four-game losing streak. They face Prairie View A&M and UT Arlington in the Maverick Invitational on Friday before heading to the Oklahoma Omni Classic on Saturday.Â
- Kansas City will be East Texas A&M's fourth Summit League opponent. The Lions have taken on South Dakota State, South Dakota and North Dakota State with a 2-6 record. The Lions earned a 2-0 win over South Dakota on Feb. 7 and a 4-3 (8 inn.) win over NDSU on Feb. 22.Â
Marshall Notes
- Jules King leads Marshall in the circle with a 2.18 ERA. She has thrown 25.2 innings, putting up a 2-2 record and earning 35 strikeouts so far this season. Â
- The Herd open the weekend facing Kansas and No. 2 Oklahoma on Friday. They enter the tournament coming off back-to-back losses to Clemson 3-8 and 0-8 (5 inn.).Â
Oklahoma Notes
- Sunday's game marks the eighth meeting between the two programs. The Sooners hold a 7-0 record in the all-time series.Â
- In the two most recent meetings, Kansas City stayed within four runs of Oklahoma falling 2-6 on March 12, 2021, and 4-8 on March 26, 2016.Â
