Kansas City Notes

Kansas City Men's Basketball looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season with a home game against Iona on Tuesday afternoon. The Roos return to the Swinney Center, where they hold a 21-7 all-time record during the month of November.
The Roos have continued to showcase their ability from beyond the three-point line. Through two games, KC is averaging 37.5% shooting from three, leading the Summit and ranking 94th in the nation. They are knocking down 9.0 threes per contest, the second-most in the Summit League.
Chris Dockery finished with an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double on Friday, his first-career double-double and second-straight game with 10-plus rebounds. Dockery currently ranks top-25 in the NCAA in double-doubles, defensive rebounds per game and total rebounds per game.
Karmello Branch has led the Roos' efforts from three-point range and is averaging a team-best 17.0 points per game through a pair of contests. He has made 4.0 threes per game, ranking first in the Summit and 23rd in the nation, and his three-point percentage of 40.0% is seventh in the Summit.
Trey Booker-Lowery made his Kansas City debut against the Salukis, posting a stat line of 10 points, four rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes played. He was one of five Kansas City players to finish in double-digit scoring against SIU.

Iona Notes

Iona enters 2025 under first-year Head Coach Dan Geriot, posting a win in its season opener over Hofstra. The Gaels went 17-17 last season with a 12-8 mark in MAAC play, eventually falling in the MAAC championship game.
CJ Anthony was named the MAAC Player of the Week on Monday after going for a career-high 24 points in the Gaels' win over Hofstra. He was 5-of-6 from the field with five assists and four rebounds.
Davis Cruz played the full 40 minutes of Iona's season-opener, scoring 13 points and pulling down six rebounds.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Roos and the Gaels.
