Roos Finish Fourth at Nassau Invitational

Saxxon Ford led the way at +4 overall, coming in fifth place individually

Brooklyn, NY -- Kansas City Men's Golf finished fall season play well by taking fourth place as a team at the Nassau Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The Roos were +41 on the course across all three rounds including +12 in round one, +17 in round two and +12 in round three. The Roos finished ahead of most of the competition, edging out Utah Valley, Deleware and Villinova for the fourth spot. Kansas City finished just below the top three which included Army, Fairfield and Rhode Island.

The Roos were led by Saxxon Ford who finished at +4 overall, the fifth best mark out of over 70 golfers. Ford totaled 10 birdies including five in round one and hit par on each hole of the round three front nine. Ford finished at even par after day one and went +2 in the subsequent rounds to notch the top five individual showing. Harry Bent and Jack Spencer finished 12th and 13th overall respectively. Bent was +10 overall with five birdies while Spencer notched himself a score of +11 and sunk six birdies in Brooklyn.

Kansas City concludes the fall season and will be back out on the course in the spring season which begins on Feb. 23-25 in Las Vegas, NV at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational.
