Roos Hold Their Own in Draw Against No. 12 Saint Louis

Maddie Sibbing earned a shutout in her collegiate debut
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Kansas City Women's Soccer battled it out with the Saint Louis Billikens and Mother Nature, earning a 0-0 draw in the 72-minute matchup that was cut short due to weather. Maddie Sibbing was a key piece for the Roos in goal notching five critical saves on the night. Her three saves in the first half and strong defense from the back line allowed KC to enter halftime with a clean slate.
Kansas City came out firing in the second half with Brianna Castleberry launching two shots in the first ten minutes of play. Three minutes after Kansas City's best scoring opportunity of the night, a weather delay forced the teams off the field for over an hour. Play resumed for 13 minutes with the Roos battling away a handful of Saint Louis corner kicks. Another lightning strike in the area ended the game in the 72nd minute.
