PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. - Kansas City Golf started hot at the Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate this week, and were able to finish in a tie for seventh out of 19 teams, finishing with a 2-over, 578 score. Originally scheduled for three rounds, the competition was cut short due to adverse weather conditions. Lucas Dutartre and Mesa Falleur both finished in the top-10, each going 4-under for a tie for sixth place. Dutartre sat in second place after the first round, thanks in part to a hole-in-one on the par-three third hole.

STATS TO NOTE
Dutartre's ace is the first by a Roo golfer since April 11, 2022, when Daniel Maurer carded a one on the par-three 16th hole at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
This is the second time this season that Kansas City has had two players finish in the top-10 of a tournament. The first came at the Wildcat Fall Invitational from Sep. 17-18, 2023, when Dutartre and Blake Saffell each finished tied for ninth.
Kansas City finished well ahead of the only other Summit League competitor in the field, Denver. The Pios ended the tournament 9-over and tied for 14th.
Mesa scored the best among the 100-player field on par-five holes, going 8-under with an average score of 4.20 strokes.
Dutartre was one of just eight players to card an eagle on the tournament and was the only Roo to do so.
