Lucas Dutartre led the Roos with a 3rd place finish

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Kansas City Golf improved each round throughout the Hawkeye Invitational this weekend, claiming a 10th-place finish out of 16 teams. Following a disappointing seven-over first round, the Roos were able move up through the final two rounds, finishing with a three-over 855. Lucas Dutartre led the way for Kansas City, shooting under par in the first and third rounds for a tie for third place.

Kansas City's third round 278 (-6) was the second-best score of the round, trailing just Southern Illinois, who finished in a tie for second place.
Dutartre finished with the second-most birdies of anyone in the field, tallying 16 throughout the three rounds.
Saffell and Cooper each tallied an eagle on the tournament.
Dutartre has finished top-10 in three tournaments this season, including in each of the last two. This was his first top-5 finish of the year.
