Roos Drop Pitching Duel at Omaha

Camry Stickel went the full game and allowed just two runs, but KC's bats were shut out
OMAHA, Neb. - Camryn Stickel pitched a gem across seven innings in today's series deciding game between Kansas City Softball (16-26, 4-8 Summit) and Omaha (32-10, 9-3 Summit), but the Roos' bats were unable to make any noise as the Mavericks claimed a 2-0 win. Stickel went the full game, allowing just six hits and only one extra base hit, but Kansas City was shut out offensively, collecting only three base hits.
Lauren Parker continued her solid play from yesterday's double header, notching a triple that gave the Roos their best scoring opportunity of the day. KC had runners in scoring position twice with zero outs, but could not bring any runs around to score.

- Parker extended her hitting streak to a career-best four games with her second triple of the season in the sixth inning.
- The Roos move to 10-9 on the season when holding their opponents to three-or-fewer runs.
