KC's Comeback Effort Falls Short Against UAlbany

The Roos erased an early deficit but were defeated on a buzzer-beating put-back
SAN JUAN, P.R. - For the second-straight day, Kansas City Men's Basketball (3-4) was able to climb out of an early hole against a quality opponent but was unable to hold on late to win. The Roos fell to UAlbany (5-1) on day two of the Puerto Rico Classico on a buzzer-beating put-back, 67-65. Anderson Kopp, Jayson Petty and Kasheem Grady II carried the Kansas City offense for the second-straight day, led by Kopp with 20 points on 9-of-10 free throw shooting.

- Melvyn Ebonkoli pulled down a game-high eight rebounds, his fourth time this season going for seven-plus.
- Kansas City was forced into 17 turnovers on the day, resulting in 19 points for the Great Danes.
