Kujolic comes to KC after spending time under Associate Head Coach Joe Esposito at Cesar Chavez HS
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Basketball has completed its coaching staff, adding Zev Kujolic in an assistant coaching role. Kujolic rejoins Roos' Associate Head Coach Joe Esposito after working together at Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix, Ariz.
"I am originally from the Midwest, so Kansas City feels like home and gets nothing but rave reviews any time it is brought up," Kujolic said. "I visited two years ago, went to a Chiefs game and immediately knew that I would live here at some point in my life. I couldn't think of a better reason for that to happen than by coaching at Kansas City."
In his current role, Kujolic will assist in everyday operations, on-floor coaching, player development and scouting.
This is Kujolic's third coaching stop, his first at the collegiate level. While coaching with Esposito at Cesar Chavez from 2020-22, he helped lead the team to back-to-back district championships. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach at Incline Village High School in Nevada from 2018-20, aiding the Highlanders to a 2020 2A State Runner-up finish.
Kujolic's first coaching opportunity came at his alma mater, Minneapolis Southwest, where he coached from 2009-13. During his time as a player at Southwest, he earned All-State Honorable Mention Honors and All-City First Team Honors.
After graduating from Minneapolis Southwest, Kujolic earned his degree in business management from Hamline University, where he played on the basketball team for three years.
Originally from Minneapolis, Kujolic currently resides in Kansas City, Mo.
