The Roos face NDSU followed by North Dakota to open Summit League conference play
Kansas City Notes
- In the Roos' past four games they have put up a combined six goals. Brianna Castleberry is the only Roo to put up two or more goals in the last five games, earning a goal in the matchup against KU and another against Tulsa. Castleberry leads the team in shots with 18 and shots on goal with nine.
- The freshman class stepped up in the draw against Tulsa, earning their first points of the season. Sydney Maddox and Gigi Mir combined for three points. Maddox earned one for her assist in Castleberry's goal and Mir earned two for her respective goal. Four of the five first-years made appearances in the Tulsa matchup.
- Junior Goalkeeper Riley Moore has been on top of her game, earning three career-high nine save performances before the start of conference play. Moore put up nine saves against Tulsa, Colorado St., and Iowa, and has had 46 saves so far this season.
- Kansas City's draw with Tulsa extended its drawing streak to four. Four consecutive draws is the most in program history.
North Dakota State University Notes
- The Bison come hot off a 3-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Similar to the Roos— in their three-goal draw against Tulsa on Sep. 17 — each goal was scored by a different player.
- Last season, the Bison and Roos both opened conference play on the road. The Bison put up a 2-0 loss against Denver and Kansas City earned a 1-1 draw against St. Thomas. The Roos have not had a home season opener since joining the Summit League in 2020, going 2-0-1 in season openers.
North Dakota Notes
- The Fighting Hawks also come off a 3-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. North Dakota opens Summit League conference play at home against Omaha on Thursday afternoon.
- Senior Forward Allison Rapaduski leads the Fighting Hawks in goals with four on the season. At the beginning of the season, Rapaduski went on a three-game scoring streak. As a team, North Dakota is averaging 1.4 goals a game.
