The Roos dropped a close one to the Cardinals before UTA pulled away in the second game
ARLINGTON, Texas – Kansas City Softball (4-13) lost a pair of games in Arlington on Saturday, falling to 1-3 on the weekend. The Roos first lost yet another heartbreaker to Lamar, 3-2, before UT Arlington pulled away late for a 11-4 victory in the second game of the day.
Ally Vonfeldt led the Roos from the plate, going for two hits and scoring a run in the first game, and going for a run and and RBI in the second game. Vonfeldt, Katherine Karnatz and Lexy Smith all went for doubles against the Cardinals.

- Top 3 / 4-2 | UTA scored two in the bottom of the second to tie the game up, but Noble singled and scored Karnatz and then Fitzgerald brought home Vonfeldt.
- Top 6 / 4-7 | The Mavericks put together five runs in the bottom of the fifth, and Smith singled to open the sixth as the Roos attempted to respond, but KC could not bring her around. UTA went for a grand slam in the bottom of the inning to take the game.

- KC was able to put the ball in play, striking out just once throughout the game in 26 at bats.
