McWashington and Houston Shine In Season Opener
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas City commenced their season at the Bob Timmons Challenge, with Naomi Eyanagho being the sole Roo to participate on both days. She exhibited courage in her inaugural collegiate Pentathlon, securing a commendable third place overall after completing five events, tallying a score of 2554.
Jaleesa McWashington showcased her dominance right away, clinching the win in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.62m (18.05-25). Junior Nahshon Houston mirrored her success on his final attempt, emerging as the event winner in the men's long jump with a jump measuring 7.23m (23.08-75).
