Five Kansas City players finished in double-digits, but the Bears ran away in OT
NASSAU, Bahamas - Kansas City Men's Basketball (2-4) overcame multiple deficits in order to force overtime today against Brown (2-5), but were unable to hold on in the extra period, falling, 93-83. The Roos had five players finish in double-digit scoring and knocked down a season-high three-point mark for the second-straight game, but allowed Brown to shoot at a 58.5% clip from the field.
The Roos started the game cold from three-point range, missing on their first five attempts from long range and falling behind early. Cameron Faas got KC's three-point shooting started, and the Roos were able to take a lead into the half for the first time in four contests.Â
The hot shooting continued early in the second half, and Kansas City extended its lead out to as large as nine points. Brown battled back to take a late lead, and it was late-game heroics by Jamar Brown that forced overtime on a 35-foot shot. However, the Bears scored the first nine points of the overtime period and ran away from there.
Anderson Kopp led Kansas City, scoring 19 points. He was followed by Khristion Courseault with 15, J. Brown with 13, Faas with 11 and Jayson Petty with 10.Â

- 1H - 5:57 / 24-29 | Courseault found Faas for a three-pointer in the fast break, the Roos' first triple of the day. That sparked a 10-point Kansas City run that allowed Kansas City to take its first lead since the 18-minute mark.
- 1H - 2:21 / 37-34 | Allen David Mukeba Jr. dished to Petty in the corner for a three, the Roos' fifth triple in a four-minute span. Kansas City proceeded to take a two-point lead into the half.

- 2H - 0:59 / 68-68 | Brown took a six-point lead into the final media timeout, but the Roos would not go down quietly. - 2H - 0:07 / 71-71 | The Bears hit three free throws in the final minute to take a lead, but Kansas City had the ball for a final possession. After a scramble near mid-court, J.
