The Roos host Western Illinois tomorrow at 7 p.m. before a game at Omaha on Saturday
Kansas City Notes
- Currently on a season-long three game losing streak, Kansas City Men's Soccer has opportunities to return to the win column this week against Western Illinois and Omaha.
- In each of the Roos' last two losses to Denver and Oral Roberts, Kansas City attempted more shots than its opponent but was unable to reach the back of the net. Across the last three games, KC is winning the shot battle, 14.3 to 11.7.
- On the season the Roos are averaging just over one goal per game. KC has scored multiple goals in four games and has been held off the scoresheet in five contests.Â
- Kansas City has kept a fairly shallow bench in recent games, using four-or-fewer substitutions in four of the last five games.Â
- In last Saturday's game against Oral Roberts, Camden Baker saw the pitch for the first time since the season opener at Utah Valley. He played the game's final 11 minutes.
- Five players lead the Roos with two goals each.
Western Illinois NotesÂ
- WIU enters Wednesday's game with a 2-10-1 record and has dropped five of its last six matchups.
- The Roos are 9-7-1 all-time against the Leathernecks in games in Kansas City, most recently winning a 1-0 decision on Oct. 23, 2021.
- Under Coach Ryan Pore, KC owns a 3-0-1 advantage against WIU.
- Xavier Gagnon leads the Leathernecks with two goals on the season.
Omaha Notes
- This will be the second meeting between the Roos and Mavs this season. The first ended in a 1-1 draw on Sep. 23.
- Since that match, Omaha has posted a 2-2-1 record, and will play Denver on Oct. 18.
- Junior Casillas and Theo Klein each have six goals on the season.
