Odyssey Warren led the Roos' attack, finishing with 20 kills
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Volleyball used a well-distributed attack to down Western Illinois for its first Summit League win, 3-1 (25-21, 25-11, 26-28, 25-19). Peyton Van Nest and Sydney Henry ran the offense like a machine, finishing with 25 assists apiece.

- S2 / 10-4 | Warren came through for another kill, sparking a 9-2 run that put the Roos firmly in control of the set.
- S2 / 23-9 | Gillen and Warren teamed up for another block, putting Kansas City in prime position to take the second set.
- S3 / 16-15 | After the Roos fell behind by three, a kill by Raina Smith forced a WIU timeout and put KC ahead by a point.
- S3 / 26-26 | Kansas City battled off three set points, the last on a block by Henry and Gillen, but the Leathernecks would win the set to stay alive.
- S4 / 10-8 | Georgia Mullins sent a kill across, giving KC a two-point advantage.
- S4 / 19-15 | The Roos went on a 5-1 run to surge ahead in the fourth set, using two kills each by Whetstone and Smith.
