The Roos did not have enough firepower to stick with the Pioneers
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Women's Tennis fell in its sixth-straight match this afternoon, losing to Denver, 7-0. It was the Roos' first seven-point loss of the season.
In doubles competition, the Pioneers picked up the point with wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles. Grace Ball and Eva Kresovic fought on the No. 2 court to keep things competitive, remaining on serve until the match was called off.
In singles, the Pioneers won all six courts in straight sets. Riddhi Sharma battled to a 7-5, 6-4 loss at No. 5 singles, keeping her match the closest. Grace Ball battled back from down 4-1 in the second set to make things interesting at No. 1 singles, eventually losing 6-1, 6-4.
The Roos are back in action tomorrow as they take on Wichita State on the Plaza at 2 p.m.
