Fenoglio drove in the Roos' two RBI with a double

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Softball (8-22, 4-2) dropped the third game of the series to St. Thomas (7-23, 3-3) after a seventh inning, two out rally comeback that gave the Tommies the 3-2 victory.

KEY MOMENTS

Top 2 / 1-0 | St. Thomas took the first lead with a solo shot just over the centerfield fence.
Bottom 3 / 1-2 | Alexis D'Ambrosio started the inning with a one out single, followed by a double from Ally Vonfeldt, then Delainey Fenoglio doubled to give the Roos the lead.
Top 7 / 3-2 | Kansas City had two outs in the final fame, but the Tommies rallied with three hits in a row to take back the lead.

Fenoglio finished the weekend with two homeruns, a double and five RBI.

The UMKC Kangaroos opened their home schedule with a doubleheader against the Creighton Bluejays, marking the first home games of the season. Creighton took the first matchup with a final score of 6-2, putting the Roos on the board with an early loss before the teams returned to the field for game two. UMKC fought to keep momentum going into the second game as they looked to bounce back in front of the home crowd. The Roos ultimately fell in the nightcap as well, with the final score of game two ending at 9-0.
