KC hit four homeruns in game two but drops game to Kennesaw State
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kansas City Softball (4-13) got retribution against Missouri State (4-10) behind the arm of Mia Hoveland who recorded seven strikeouts in the 3-2 victory. In an exchange of long balls, the Roos' four homeruns weren't enough to defeat Kennesaw State (5-11) in the 8-10 final.

- Hoveland finished with seven strikeouts, giving up only four hits and two earned runs. She moves to 318 strikeouts, which is fourth most career strikeouts in program history.

- Bottom 1 / 4-3 | The Roos responded by hitting through the lineup, sparked by a leadoff homerun from Hilbrenner. Six of KC's nine batters got hits their first time up to the plate.

- Kansas City hit four homeruns, which ties a program record for most homeruns in a single game. The last time the Roos hit that mark was in their victory over Missouri State on March 30, 2021.
- Fenoglio and Hilbrenner both recorded their third homeruns of the season.
- D'Ambrosio and Denning both hit their first homerun of the season. This is the first career homerun for Denning and D'Ambrosio's first long ball since Feb. 27, 2021.
- Fenoglio went 3-for-4 at the plate in game two of the day and is 7-of-11 on the weekend thus far.
