Josiah Allick posted his first double-double of the season

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Kansas City Men's Basketball (17-10, 10-5) shot lights out against North Dakota (6-22, 2-13) in the first half and cruised to an 80-65 win on the road tonight. Josiah Allick posted his first double-double of the season, finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Evan Gilyard II, Marvin Nesbitt Jr. and Arkel Lamar all reached the double-digit scoring mark that led to the Roos domination in the paint, finishing with a 40-8 advantage over the Fighting Hawks.

1H / 45-19 | Caden Boser knocked down a three from beyond the arc before half for Kansas City's largest lead of 26 points.

STATS TO NOTE

Seventeen in the W column marks the most wins for KC in the Billy Donlon era, besting their 16-14 record from 2019-20.
Kansas City shot a hot 70% from the field in the first half and finished the game with an efficient 58.6% field goal percentage.
Kansas City's efficiency was enough to counter North Dakota's 13 three-pointers and 80% free throw shooting percentage that led to 16 points from the charity stripe.
In addition to the 40-8 advantage in the paint, the Roos won the turnover battle, scoring 16 points off of takeaways to just five from the Fighting Hawks.
Gilyard was the Roos' leading scorer once again, finishing with 19 points and six assists.
