Evan Gilyard II and Marvin Nesbitt Jr. posted standout performances in the loss
TULSA, Okla. - Kansas City Men's Basketball (16-10, 9-5) took Oral Roberts to the wire this evening, but could not pull out the victory, falling 91-86. A 29-point performance from Evan Gilyard II and a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double by Marvin Nesbitt Jr. were not enough to lift the Roos over the Golden Eagles.

- 1H / 12-3 | The Roos got out to a quick lead, backed by two triples by Anderson Kopp.
- 1H / 21-7 | A bucket inside by Nesbitt after a steal by Jack Chapman gave Kansas City its largest lead of the game in the first eight minutes.

STATS TO NOTE
- Tonight marked the first time all season that Kansas City allowed more than 90 points.
- Gilyard finished with 29 points, his sixth game of the season with 28-or-more.
- After forcing ORU into nine turnovers in the first half, the Roos forced just one Golden Eagle turnover in the second frame.
- Nesbitt pulled down 13 rebounds, besting his previous career-high of 12.
- The Roos finished with a 1.6% better field goal percentage than Oral Roberts, marking the first time in 14 games this year that KC lost despite outshooting their opponent.
