Jocelyn Ewell and E'Lease Stafford finished in double-digits for the Roos, playing a nationally-ranked team for the first time since 2019
MANHATTAN, Kan. - The size and length of No. 24 Kansas State (9-1) proved too much for Kansas City Women's Basketball (3-6) to handle this evening, as the Roos fell to the Wildcats, 72-45. Jocelyn Ewell was a bright spot for the Kansas City offense, scoring 12 of her team-high 14 points in the second half.
The Roos held Kansas State to 6-of-17 shooting in the first quarter, including an 0-of-4 mark from beyond the three-point line, trailing by just two points after the first ten minutes. The Wildcats would use full-court defense to force 33 Kansas City turnovers on the game, and outscore the Roos by 31 points across the second and third quarters.

- 1Q - 4:01 / 11-11 | Kansas State jumped out to a six-point lead, but the Roos scored six-straight of their own, capped by a transition bucket as St. Andre found Ugass sealing underneath the basket for an easy two points. The Roos would trail by a pair heading into the second quarter.
- 2Q - 7:07 / 17-24 | K-State opened the second quarter on a 9-2 run, but St. Andre nabbed her first steal of the day and took it all the way to the other end to stop the run.
