THE ROOS, QUOTED
Head Coach Benaud Shirley
"It was great to be back on the track today. The coaching staff and student-athletes were excited, but humbled, for the opportunity to compete. Ally was spectacular today, it was great to see her healthy and running with confidence. Nahshon also had a good outing in the long jump and will continue to improve throughout the season. Overall, I am pleased with the performances, we competed hard and gave a good account of the program."
"I'm so excited to have opened up the indoor track season with a school record 1,000-meter. Running well in December is awesome, but running fast in March is the main goal, so I'm looking forward to progressing from here. Today was definitely a great momentum builder for the team and our season ahead, and it was so fun to test the fall fitness alongside my teammates."
