- Kansas City Women's Basketball returns home to take on Bellevue following a six-game road stand, looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The Roos look for solace on the Swinney Center home court, where they have earned two wins in four games played.
- The 70-point mark has been a marker of success for Kansas City, holding a 3-1 record when the team scores 70-plus points. KC is 0-6 in games which they score 69 or fewer points. In their three wins, they are averaging 81.0 points, while allowing just 62.3 points.
- Dani Winslow and E'Lease Stafford have been marathon women for the Roos thus far this season, with each logging games of 37-plus minutes five times in ten games. Winslow averages over 36 minutes per game, ranking second in the Summit League and 21st in the nation, while Stafford notches an average of 34 minutes per game, ranking fourth in the Summit and 100th among Division One players.
- With a win on Thursday, the Roos would enter conference play with at least four wins for the second year in-a-row, and the sixth time in seven years. Kansas City entered league play with three wins in the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, playing only seven non-conference games total.
- RaVon Nero made her awaited return from injury in the Roos' most recent game against Wyoming, scoring eight points on 2-of-3 three-point shooting in 22 minutes played. The former Summit League Sixth Woman of the Year was named Preseason Second Team All-League.
Bellevue Notes
- Bellevue enters Thursday's matchup with a 6-6 record, having lost their last two games against St. Ambrose and the 11th-ranked NAIA team, Dakota Wesleyan. Thursday's game will count as an exhibition for the Bruins.
- The Bruins went 15-17 last season, qualifying for the NSAA Championship game before falling to eventual Dakota State.
- This will be the first-ever meeting between the Roos and Bruins.
- Bellevue averages 69.2 points per game on 35.9% three-point shooting, while allowing opponents to score 78.0 points and shoot the three at a 41.7% clip.
- Senior Asha Scott leads the team with a 12.3 points per game scoring average, while fellow senior Faith Ross joins her in double-digits, averaging 11.1 points per game.
- Scott also leads the team on the boards, pulling down 6.0 rebounds per contest.
