Kansas City Notes
Kansas City Notes
- So far, the Roos' three league opponents have been among the bottom four in the league standings. Oral Roberts will provide a challenge, as they were voted for a second-place finish in the preseason polls.
- Kazuki Kimura has continued his breakout campaign, as he is currently tied for the league lead in total goals (4), goals per game (0.444) and points (10). He stands alone atop the standings in points per game (1.11). All of those marks rank among the top-125 in the nation.
- Christian Koffi's name is also scattered across the league leader boards. He ranks first in the conference in assists per game (0.5), total assists (4), shot accuracy (0.464), shots per game (3.5) and shots on goal per game (1.62). Additionally, he is second in the league in game-winning goals (2).
- Cooper Clark posted back-to-back shutouts in goal last week, making six total saves. He is now one of just three goalies in the League with multiple shutouts this season.Â
- The shutouts were Clark's fifth and sixth of his Kansas City career, moving him to sixth in program history. One more shutout would move him into a tie for fourth.
Oral Roberts NotesÂ
- The Golden Eagles return to Summit League play after taking Central Arkansas to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.
- Oral Roberts is 1-1 in conference play, defeating Lindenwood by a 3-1 count on Sep. 28.
- The Roos and Golden Eagles have a near-even history. The all-time series is at 13-14-5 in ORU's favor, with last year's game in Tulsa being played to a draw.
- Prior to last season's draw, ORU had claimed three victories in a row.
- When the Golden Eagles take a shot, there is a 50.5% chance it will be placed on frame. That rate is good for the league-lead and 13th in Division One.
- Carlos Santamaria has scored four goals.
