- 42' / 1-1 | Oral Roberts had a good opportunity to reclaim the lead late in the first half, sending a shot towards the bottom right corner. Clark made a reaction play, diving to his right and using a strong arm to keep the ball out of goal. The ensuing corner kick was cleared away by Edson Murguia.
- 49' / 1-1 | Kansas City looked to strike first in the second half when Hirokawa took a free kick from the left side of the box. He sent a cross to the back post, finding the head of Set Kacich, but Kacich's header was sent right at the ORU keeper.
- 60' / 1-2 | The Golden Eagles went ahead in the counterattack, outrunning the Roos' defense.
- 61' / 1-2 | The Roos wasted no time in attempting to equalize once again as Philipp Basara played a cross to Carson Lindsey on the back post, who headed the ball over to Koffi. Koffi came around on the ball and sent it to the left post, but his attempt was blocked back by ORU's keeper. He settled the ball and tried once again, but was unable to sneak the ball into the net.
- 72' / 1-3 | ORU added on to their lead, sending a burner along the ground that got past Clark.
- 77' / 1-3 | Nagy had a brace on his mind, letting loose on a shot from just outside the box. The ball went over the outstretched hand of the ORU keeper, but was about six inches too tall. The Roos would continue to press, but did not have any more scoring chances.
