Men's Soccer Opens Summit Play at ORU

The Roos travel to Tulsa on Saturday at 7 p.m. before their home-opener vs. SLU on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Soccer opens up Summit League play against Oral Roberts on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Roos will then host Saint Louis in their long-awaited home-opener on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Kansas City Notes
- The Roos enter Summit League play with a 1-3-2 record, picking up a win versus SIUE and draws with Virginia Tech and Dayton.
- Kansas City is one of the most accurate teams in the Summit League, earning an average of 5.0 shots on goal per game at a .462 shot accuracy rate. Both of those numbers are tops in the conference and top-100 in Division One.
- Cooper Clark was honored as Summit League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Dayton, making seven saves. Clark averages 5.33 saves per game, best in the Summit and 16th nationwide.
- Seth Kacich scored his first goal of the season and the second of his career in last week's draw with Dayton. Kacich is a reliable defender for Coach Pore, playing full-time in each of the past five games.
- The Roos have scored six goals on the year, each scored by a different player. Kazuki Kumura and Arne Neufang lead KC on the season with 10 shots attempted each.
Oral Roberts NotesÂ
- The Golden Eagles enter Summit play at 5-1, winning five-straight after a season-opening loss to nationally-ranked Loyola Marymount.
- ORU earns an average of 8.33 corner kicks per game. That mark is the best in the Summit League and ranks second among Division One teams.
- Oral Roberts is lead by 2020 Summit Offensive Player of the Year Dante Brigida. He has scored four goals on the year following a 17-point season last year.
Saint Louis NotesÂ
- Saint Louis is currently ranked in the Top-25 and will be KC's fourth ranked opponent of the year. The Billikens will take on George Mason prior to Tuesday's match.
- The Roos and Billikens have matched up 10 times in the past, but never at Durwood Soccer Stadium. SLU has won all 10 previous meetings.
- SLU's Simon Becher has notched three goals and five assists on the year to lead the team.
