- 69' | Another corner proved fruitful for Kansas City, but a header attempt by Seth Kacich was secured by the Cougars' keeper.

COACH RYAN PORE, QUOTED
- "I thought we controlled the game defensively and really didn't allow SIUE many quality chances. We challenged the guys to stay focused for 90 minutes and I believe the best team won tonight."
- "The whole team deserves credit and I thought the bench brought tremendous energy tonight. Now we get some much-needed rest to prepare for another quality Dayton team."
