COACH JESS SMITH, QUOTED
- "We had a ton of chances in the first half, and it was unfortunate that we gave up a goal with 48 seconds left in the half, but we created a lot of chances. I told the players to stay positive and continue to do the things that we were doing. We needed to play a little bit quicker and make the most of our chances, so the message was to not let down our mentality at all and not leave anything to chance."
- "When we equalized, we had a ton of momentum. I was proud of the players, they didn't drop off at all, they just put on the gas even more. I'm proud of our resilience after going down 1-0. Our mentality was really good, we created a lot of really good chances and the soccer that we played was good."
- "For us to be able to win the game, coming from behind is huge for confidence. We need to learn from this, we need to make the most of our chances at the beginning of the game, but going into the weekend I think it's a great confidence builder. Now, we need to prepare for two really good opponents coming up and that's where our focus is."
UP NEXT
