STATS TO NOTE
- Kennedy Schritenthal recorded her 300th career dig.
- The Roos avoided making a single reception error, the first time they've had zero reception errors in a match since Sep. 21, 2019 against South Dakota State.
- Kansas City now has five 3-0 sweeps this season.
- Thompson collected thirteen kills for the second straight match.
- Renn amassed 15 digs, and has at least that many digs in all but three matches this season.
COACH CHRISTI POSEY, QUOTED
- "The way that we were able to win, after back-and-forth, having a lead and losing a lead, and being tough in end-game was good psychologically for us to be tough enough to finish in three."
- "ORU's game plan is to put some pressure on you by doing some different things, so we knew to expect that. Once we settled in and calmed down, we were able to relax, but still be productive and urgent in our play."
- "I was really pleased in a lot of areas, defensively. I think Kennedy Schritenthal was really a plus. We've been eager to have her extend her range and I think today was probably her best match of the year."
- "Overall, it was a positive step in the right direction, and it was absolutely what we needed."
UP NEXT
The Roos are on the road for three matches over the next 10 days. They begin the road stint at Western Illinois on Thursday at 7 p.m.
