Tip-Off Notes
After Sunday's contest, the Roos return home to host Western Illinois Saturday at Swinney Center at 7 pm.
Tip-Off Notes
- The Roos defeated George Washington on Friday and East Carolina on Saturday by identical 74-68 scores.
- The four wins collected for the Roos prior to Dec. 1 is the most wins prior to that date since the 2016-17 program went 6-2 before Dec. 1. That team finished with a 18-17 overall record.
- By gaining its fourth win playing in its seventh overall game, Kansas City is seeing early success it has not accomplished recently. Kansas City notched win No. 4 in its 12th game last year.
- Behind seven three-pointers, Rob Whitfield recorded a career-high and a Roo single-game high this year with 29 points in Saturday's victory against East Carolina. The senior guard had 19 in the first 20 minutes.
- In Friday's win, senior guard Jahshire Hardnett poured in 25 points, one better than his previous collegiate career-high, done when he was with BYU. He came into the game with an average of 4.4 points per game in his first five games.
- First-year head coach Billy Donlon is in charge of a unit with six returning letterwinners mixed in with two freshmen and four transfers. He inherited a program that has had a .500-or-better record just twice in the last 14 seasons.
- Senior Javan White, who has tallied two double-doubles in his last three games, leads the club in scoring with a 14.5 clip. Junior Brandon McKissic chips in 10.9 points and a team-high 12 total steals.
