Season Highlights
- The Roos have started the season 2-2 behind offensive outbursts against Denver and Portland State.
- Kansas City has been led so far this season by Emily Ivory, averaging 17 points per game.
- Ericka Mattingly has headed the point to begin the year, dishing out 3.75 assists per game and leading the team in assists in three of four games.
- The Roos have shown offensive parity to begin the season, scoring over 80 points in each of their wins and less than 70 points in their losses.
- Mattingly has the Roos' single-game scoring high this season, dropping 23 points in the season opening win vs. Denver. After dropping 21 against Davidson, Mattingly has eclipsed the 20-point mark in 19 of her 35 career games.
- No Roo has reached the double-digit mark in rebounds in a single game to this point. Cristina Soriano came the closest with nine in the win over Portland State.
Rockhurst Scouting Report
- Rockhurst has opened the season 0-2 after a 10-16 showing last season.
- This game will count as an exhibition for the NCAA DII Hawks, who last matched up with the Roos in the 2014-15 season, a 65-60 victory for Rockhurst.
- The Hawks opened their season at the Pops Duncan Classic in Nashville, Tenn. They fell to Kentucky Wesleyan College, 97-49 before dropping a matchup with Trevecca Nazarene University, 84-75.
- The Hawks are unafraid to launch the three, but have connected on just 24% of their attempts so far this season (11-45).
- Rockhurst has three scorers averaging double digits, Meghan Urbanski (15.5), Madeline Ronshausen (12.5) and Daly Sullivan (10.5).
- Urbanski, a sophomore, seems poised for a breakout season after averaging just 4.9 points per game her freshman year.
- Ronshausen is coming off of a First-Team GLVC season, averaging 19.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. She led the team in all three categories.
