Kansas City Drops Two Matches in Texas Road Trip

(Edinburg, Texas) - The UMKC men's tennis squad dropped a 4-1 match to Grand Canyon and fell 4-0 to Texas-Pan American this weekend in a pair of duals.
Against GCU, the 'Roos took the early lead when they got the doubles point after wins at No. 1 and No. 2. It was short-lived in singles play though, as the Antelopes won the first four matches at Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 5 to take the dual win.
In Sunday's action, Texas-Pan American took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and 3, before taking straight-set victories at No. 1, 3 and 6.
Both weekend matches were played until a clinching point was secured, so several went unfinished.
UMKC is not active again until a dual on March 11 against Lamar in Wichita, Kan.
