'Roos Win Fourth Straight, Drop Mavericks 5-0

(Omaha, Neb.) - The Kansas City men's tennis squad made it four straight on Wednesday, defeating Omaha in Summit League competition on the road, 5-0.
UMKC (10-10, 4-0 SL) snagged the doubles point to kick it off with easy wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, before taking straight set wins in the first four singles matches. Omaha, who is in its first year of Summit League play, is 5-13, 0-4 on the season.
Abdul Alawadhi secured the first point in singles play, with Grant Fleming, Tim Akhmedov and Nino Hasandedic following in quick succession to make it 5-0.
The 'Roos look to finish regular season play on Friday and Saturday when it heads to Fort Wayne for a match with Goshen College and the conference finale vs. IPFW. A win against the Mastodons will secure a fourth consecutive regular season crown.
