'Roos Close Florida Trip in Style, Beat BCU 5-2

(Daytona Beach, Fla.) - The Kansas City men's tennis team snagged a 5-2 win in the finale of its Spring Break Florida trip on Thursday, taking out Bethune-Cookman University.
The 'Roos (6-8) won all three matches in doubles play, taking an 8-4 win at No. 1, before squeezing out tiebreakers at No. 2 and 3, pulling out the point.
In singles play, Kansas City took it to BCU (12-10) in the 1-4 spots, winning each in straight sets and clinching the match. Tomas Patino won his eighth straight match, while Nino Hasandedic made it a perfect week in Florida with three victories in as many tries.
The 'Roos play on the road both Monday and Tuesday, facing Wichita State Monday at 1:00 p.m., before facing Northwest Missouri State at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
