THE GAME
The Kangaroos look to rebound from a season-opening loss with their first road game of 2011-12 on Sunday at Missouri Valley Conference foe Bradley. UMKC is also facing its first Division I opponent of the season. This contest part of a tournament, being played as a preliminary contest in the Chicago Invitational Challenge. The 'Roos will also play Wisconsin as a part of that Tournament on Nov. 22.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Bradley is opening the season with UMKC on Sunday, and went through the preseason undefeated with 10-point wins over Wisconsin Parkside and College of Wooster. The Braves went 12-20 last season, and 4-14 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
They are led by junior guard Dyricus Simms Edwards, who averaged 10.5 points a game last year. They also get senior forward Taylor Brown back after a redshirt season. In 2009-10, he averaged 13.5 points and 6.9 boards per contest.
THE SERIES
The Kangaroos are 1-0 against Bradley, defeating the Braves 73-61 on November 24, 2008 in Ft. Myers, Florida during the CBE Classic.
