Kansas City, Mo. -- Former UMKC women's basketball student-athlete Alysa Klein signed a professional contact this summer to continue her basketball career in the Netherlands. The Iowa native will play for the Perik Jumpers in Tubbergen this upcoming season.
Klein heads overseas after wrapping up a successful four-year run in Kansas City. The center finished her career with 1,212 points, as she became just the fourth 1,000-point scorer in school history. Klein was also a prolific shot blocker, as she tallied a school record 213 swats, which included a single season school record of 77 blocks as a senior.
Klein was a two-time all-conference selection for the Kangaroos, earning first team honors as a junior and a second team nod as a senior. She was also named to the all-tournament team at the conference tournament as both a freshman and senior.
