Carter appeared in 92 games across three seasons at Hofstra
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Women's Basketball has put pen to paper with another signee out of the transfer portal, inking Micaela Carter today. Carter is a 5'6 guard from Brampton, Ontario and last played for Hofstra.
Carter became a vital piece for the Pride, playing in 92 games across her three seasons in Hempstead, New York. The Canadian guard worked her way into the starting rotation this past season, averaging a career-high 5.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists per game and shot 45.6% from three point range in her 27 starts and 31 appearances for the Pride.
Carter's breakout season was highlighted by a career-high 23 points on 9-13 shooting from the floor against UNC-Wilmington on February 22. The Brampton, Ontario native has notched seven games of double figure scoring in her career, all of which came in 2024-25.
Before her college career, Carter attended St. Mary Catholic Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario, averaging 12.0 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.2 steals for the Crusaders. Carter also won the U17 Championship with Team Ontario, was named an All-Star at the Canadian National Games and won the bronze medal at the U16 FIBA Games.
