
Kansas City Signs Josie Megehee

Megehee transfers in from Tulsa
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Women's Basketball continues to make additions to the 2026-27 roster as the Roos inked Josie Megehee out of the transfer portal. Megehee is a 5'9 guard from Shawnee, Okla. who spent her freshman year at Tulsa and will have four seasons of eligibility.
Before Megehee's medical redshirt season with the Golden Hurricanes, she played for both Bethel High School for three years and Shawnee High School for her senior year. While at Bethel, Megehee averaged 21.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game across her three years there.
Megehee led the Bison to the Class 5A quarterfinals twice and to the semifinals in her sophomore season. Meghee was named Little River Valley Conference Player of the Year and was All-State First Team in her junior campaign. In addition to basketball, Megehee also competed in softball and volleyball at Bethel.
Megehee's senior season at Shawnee was a dominant one as she was named Tri-County Basketball Player of the Year, OCA All-State, OGBCA All-State, Third Team All-Big City and PNTV All-State Class 5A. While competing for the Wolves, Megehee also surpassed the 2,000 career point marker. Megehee has a sister who played basketball for Western Oklahoma State, East Central and Cameron.
