Marcy Gans joined the UMKC women's soccer program as a volunteer assistant coach in Aug. 2009. Gans joins the squad after a successful collegiate soccer career playing at Creighton.
Gans closed out her four-year career with Creighton as the school record holder in career goals. She was nationally ranked her senior year in goals per game and overall points per game. Gans was a two-time first team all-MVC player and was a two-time MVC tournament MVP.
As a junior, Gans led the Missouri Valley Conference in goals, points, shots and game-winning goals. She earned honorable mention all-MVC honors as a sophomore and was a member of the MVC all-freshman squad.
For her efforts in the classroom, Gans was voted to the COSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic all-District VII first team, the MVC Scholar Athlete first team and an NSCAA third team scholar all-American.
Gans graduated from Creighton with an exercise science undergraduate degree in 2009. She is currently pursuing her master's of science organizational development at Avila University, where she is interning in their Athletics Department.
