2005 -- Indoor... his top mark in the shot put came at the 2005 Mid-Con Indoor Championships with a toss of 45-6 1/2... his best indoor weight throw mark also came at the Championships (43-1... Outdoor... posted two personal bests at the 2005 Mid-Con Outdoor Championships, a 143-9 9 in the hammer and a 141-0 in the javelin... his mark of 48-11 1/2 in the shot put at Southwest Missouri State was the fourth-best in school history in that event and was the best overall mark.
High School -- Four-year letterwinner... captured the Missouri State Class 3A discus championship in 2004... finished second in shot put in the same meet to earn all-state accolades... was all-state in 2003 after placing sixth in discus... also qualified for the state meet in shot put in 2003... was the team MVP his junior and senior years... also a three-year letterwinner in basketball, earning first-team all-conference honors as a senior season.
