2014-15 -- Battled injuries throughout the year, but still started 21 times, playing 30 games... Ranked second in the WAC with 44 blocks (1.47 per game), while sitting fourth in a single-season at UMKC with that total... Tied a school record that has been around since 1991 with seven blocks in a win at Indiana State (12/28)... Had three-plus blocks on five occasions... Also ranked 18th in the WAC with 4.4 rebounds per game... Pulled down double-figure rebounds once, at Indiana State with 12... In the last seven games of the season, he averaged 7.3 rebounds per outing.
Before UMKC -- Smith attended Weatherford College and played for head coach Mark Osina… Prior to that he redshirted at Seward County C.C. (Kan.)… Smith played for head coach James Blain and Samuel Korpoi at Ideal Academy in high school... As a senior he averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds per game... Put up 15 points,11.4 boards and 5.5 blocks a contest as a junior in 2009-2010, while the team posted an 18-9 mark.
