Roos Remain on the Road for Meeting with Drake

Kansas City Men's Soccer remains on the road for a second consecutive game on Monday evening, taking on Drake for the fourth time in as many seasons. The Roos are 6-2-2 across the past two seasons when playing the second of back-to-back road contests.
The Roos are coming off a riveting road result at No. 3 SMU, using a 1-1 draw to pick up the program's fifth result against a top-10 ranked team in the Ryan Pore era. It also goes down as the eighth top-10 result in program history.
Mark Ramarola tallied the first goal of his collegiate career to salvage the point against the Mustangs, scoring the equalizer in the 90th minute. It was the first time that Kansas City has scored a game-winning or equalizing goal in the game's final minute since Elie Kisoka's heroics in the 2024 Summit League Championship.
Through four games, the Roos are one of the most active offenses in the nation. They average 16.0 shots per game (28th in the NCAA), 7.5 shots on goal per game (19th in the NCAA) and 2.25 goals per game (38th in the NCAA).
Kansas City's offensive production has come from a variety of sources. Raphael Kistmann leads the team with seven total points, but 14 other Roos have tallied at least one goal or assist on the young season.

Drake Notes

Drake puts its unbeaten season on the line on Monday night, currently boasting a 3-0-2 record. After season-opening draws against Central Arkansas and Creighton, the Bulldogs have rattled off three-straight wins.
Evan Carlson leads the Drake offense with three goals on the season, scoring in each of the Bulldogs' first three games.
As a team, Drake has the seventh-best goals against average in the nation. The Bulldogs allow just 0.4 goals per game and have played the last 300-plus minutes without allowing a goal.
The Roos and Bulldogs are familiar foes, with this marking the 37th meeting in program history. Drake owns the decisive advantage with a 26-7-3 record in the series.
The last meeting came on Sep. 9 of last season, a 0-0 draw. Brandon Kincaid earned the shutout in the tie.
