- Kansas City looks for the program's first ever season sweep of North Dakota on Saturday as the Roos and Fighting Hawks tip-off at 2 p.m. CT inside the Swinney Center. Last time out, KC fell to North Dakota State 49-74 on Thursday.
- Kansas City beat North Dakota 77-56 back in early January to earn the Roos second conference win and first of 2026. Zaire Harrell led the effort, tying a career-high of 22 points while grabbing nine rebounds, shooting 67% from the field and knocking down a career-best 10 free throws at the charity stripe.Â
- The Roos are 3-1 against the Fighting Hawks at the Swinney Center all-time and 2-1 in the Jackson-Durrett era. Kansas City's last win at home vs. UND came on Feb. 10, 2024 as Emani and Elauni Bennett combined for 41 points and 11 rebounds with Emani scoring 26 on 11-17 shooting while Elauni notched 15 points on 7-10 shooting. Â
- Kansas City swept Omaha with a 61-59 victory at home on New Year's Eve and a 60-59 win on the road that was capped off by an Emani Bennett game-winning layup on the last play of the game. It's Kansas City's second ever season sweep in the Summit under Jackson-Durrett and first since UNO back in 2023-24.Â
- Kansas City's upcoming battle with North Dakota will mark the 11th time the Roos have played on a Saturday this season. KC is 5-5 on Saturday this year and 3-2 in Saturday games against conference foes.Â
- North Dakota enters this matchup against the Roos sitting at 6-18 overall and 2-8 in Summit action. The Fighting Hawks had a two game win streak snapped, losing 58-54 to Omaha on Thursday.Â
- North Dakota's two wins in conference play come at the hands of a 73-72 decision over Denver and a 75-54 win over Omaha back in early January.Â
- The Fighting Hawks are winless away from home, holding an 0-11 record outside the Sioux Center. That record includes an 0-9 stint in true road games.Â
- UND found success against the Roos last season, besting KC 83-79 at home and 63-60 at the Swinney Center during the 2024-25 season.Â
- Ava Miller and Walker Demers average 8.1 and 7.9 RPG respectively, both top five marks in the Summit this year.Â
