Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball returns to the Swinney Center for its lone game this week, playing on a Wednesday for the second-straight week. The Roos have played five Wednesday games this season, against TCU, Idaho State, Weber State and Denver twice.
- CJ Evans returned to the Roos' lineup with a stacked stat line on Sunday at St. Thomas, going for 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. It marked the first time that he has led the Roos' rebounding efforts, becoming the fifth different player to do so this season.
- Addarin Scott went for an efficient 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting against the Tommies, playing 17 total minutes. It marked his career-best in the scoring category, eclipsing his 10-point game against Spurgeon earlier this season.
- Jayson Petty is the only Kansas City player that has played in and started all 23 games. Dating back to the beginning of the 2024-25 season, Petty has made the start in 58-of-59 games. He is averaging 30.4 minutes per game this season, ranking 13th in the Summit.
- One of the Roos' strong suits this season has been getting out in transition. The Roos score 11.26 fast break points per game, ranking third in the Summit and 151st in the nation. The Roos spur on the fast break via an average of 6.4 steals per game.
South Dakota Notes
- South Dakota enters Wednesday's game with a 12-12 overall record, including a 4-5 mark in Summit League play. The Coyotes most recently dropped an 89-84 overtime decision to NDSU.
- Isaac Bruns leads the Coyotes with an average of 20.8 points per game, leading the Summit and ranking 19th in the nation. Bruns has scored 20-plus in four-straight games.
- As a team, USD ranks 10th in the nation with 19.7 free throw makes per game.
- Kansas City leads the all-time series, 11-10, but the Coyotes have won the last two meetings.
- USD won a 99-83 decision in Vermillion on Jan. 15. Kasheem Grady II led KC with 21 points in that game.
