- Kansas City Men's Basketball remains on the road on Saturday afternoon, looking to take down North Dakota State, the current first place team in the Summit League standings. The last time Kansas City took down a team that was leading the league standings was on Feb. 15, 2024 when the Roos defeated South Dakota State.
- Trey Booker-Lowery had a standout game in the Roos' most recent outing against North Dakota, going for season highs in both points (21) and rebounds (8). Prior to Thursday's game, Booker-Lowery had totaled 22 points and eight rebounds in his last eight appearances combined.
- Chris Dockery added 10 points against the Fighting Hawks, his fourth consecutive game in double-digit scoring. Since the beginning of conference play, Dockery is averaging 9.3 points per game after averaging just 5.2 points per game across all of non-conference play.
- Jerome Palm was held scoreless against UND, but tallied seven rebounds and a team-high three assists. He currently leads the Roos and ranks fifth in the Summit League with an average of 6.4 rebounds per game and his five games this season with three-plus assists are tied for the most among Summit League players standing 6'10 or taller.
- Kansas City has blocked at least one shot in 19 consecutive games dating back to Dec. 6. In that 19-game stretch, the Roos have blocked multiple shots in all but two games, going for one block against Denver on Dec. 31 and North Dakota State on Jan. 8.
North Dakota State Notes
- North Dakota State enters Saturday's game atop the Summit League standings with a 22-6 overall record and a 12-1 record in Summit League play. The Bison are 11-1 at home this season.
- NDSU has four players averaging 10-plus points per game, led by Damari Wheeler-Thomas' 14.0 points per game average. Wheeler-Thomas is coming off a 23-point outing against SDSU.
- As a team, North Dakota State leads the league in opponent scoring average, allowing just 70.8 points per game.
- The Bison lead the all-time series, 19-8, and have won 8-of-11 meetings in Fargo.
- NDSU took the initial meeting this season by a score of 97-73 in Kansas City. Karmello Branch led KC with 19 points in that game.
