- Kansas City looks to split the season series against Denver as the Roos take on the Pioneers at the Swinney Center on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT. The Roos are also aiming to even the all-time series against Denver, as they enter the contest 9-10 all-time.Â
- In the last meeting with the Pios, Kelby Bannerman notched a her second career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Bannerman has seen plenty of prior success against Denver, recording 21 points and five rebounds last season in a 73-65 road victory against the Pioneers.
- Last time out, Emani Bennett recorded 14 points on 6-11 (55%) shooting against South Dakota State. The junior guard posted a team-high 14 points in the last meeting against the Pioneers. Bennett's career-high in scoring comes against the Pios as she posted 30 points on 11-22 shooting back on Feb. 5, 2025.Â
- Kansas City likes to use lots of lineup combinations, using a different starting five in each of the last three games. On the season, they have used 12 different starting lineups, which is tied for the fourth most nationally. Kansas City has also had 11 of the 15 rostered players record a start this season.
- Kansas City leads the Summit League on the offensive glass, boasting 12.7 offensive rebounds per game. Elauni Bennett bolsters the Roos effort on the boards as she is the individual Summit leader in this category, snatching 4.0 per game which ranks 12th nationally.
- Denver is 9-17 overall this season, with 3-10 mark in Summit League action. The Pioneers are on a six game losing streak dating back to an 86-74 victory over Oral Roberts back in late January.Â
- The Pioneers look to pull even with Kansas City in the Summit League standings as the Pios currently sit 3-9 and are tied for seventh, one game back of the Roos at 4-9.Â
- Denver is 1-11 on the road this season and 2-6 all time on the road against the Roos.Â
- Denver defeated Kansas City in the first matchup 64-54, and hold a 10-9 all-time series lead over the Roos.Â
- Coryn Watts is the second leading scorer in the Summit League, averaging 19.4 points per game. Watts leads the Summit in three point field goals made with 68, doing so at a 33.8% clip.Â
