Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball remains on the road on Saturday for a meeting with South Dakota State in a 4:15 p.m. tip off. The Roos have played in five games this season that began before 5 p.m. local time and are seeking their first win of the year in such games.
- The Roos will look to bounce back following a loss to South Dakota on Thursday that saw KC outscore the Coyotes by four points and shoot 50% from the field in the second half.
- Kasheem Grady II led Kansas City's scoring efforts against South Dakota, going for 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Grady added a team-high seven rebounds, marking the third time in his Kansas City career that he has led the Roos in scoring and the second time that he has led the team in rebounds.
- CJ Evans added 14 points for the Roos, notching his sixth-straight game of double-digit scoring. Since the beginning of Summit League play, Evans is averaging 16.2 points per game, including a career-high 24-point showing against North Dakota last Saturday. Evans currently ranks 12th in the league in scoring in conference contests.
- Chris Dockery went for 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting against the Coyotes, tying his career-high scoring mark for the third time in the past five games. His five made field goals were the best of his Division One career, besting his previous career-high of four.
South Dakota State Notes
- South Dakota State enters Saturday's game with a 9-10 overall record and a 6-1 mark in games played in Brookings. SDSU has won three-straight at First Bank & Trust Arena.
- The Jackrabbits have four players averaging above 10 points per game, led by Jaden Jackson's 13.6 scoring average.
- SDSU leads the Summit League in multiple categories, including field goal percentage defense, rebounding margin and rebounds per game.
- KC and SDSU have met 29 times in the past, tied for 8th-most in program history. The Jackrabbits own a 24-5 advantage.
- The last meeting came on Feb. 23 of last season, a 70-65 SDSU win. Jamar Brown led KC with 21 points in that game.
